YOUNG INNOVATORS PROGRAM

DESIGNING CHANGE FOR SOCIAL IMPACT

Imerxn Student Startups

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Considering the world’s economic challenges and current social problems, social entrepreneurs can play a major role, by contributing to solutions and driving economic growth.

Innovation is  key to various solutions being integrated to address tough problems that the society faces today like poverty, education, environmental, health, unemployment and more. It is the agenda of businesses, universities, investors and young entrepreneurs to create social impact and improvement.

Imerxn’s “Young Innovators Program” uses design thinking and the user-centered approach to identify opportunities and pilot solutions for positive social change. Students participate in a series of workshops that help them come up with ideas and test it through prototyping. If successful, we extend our support for building a sustainable business model by connecting them to mentors, prospective users, NGOs, organizations and investors.

Today’s session kind of cleared all the dark sides, my doubts on value proposition and business models in a very clear way, which I would find useful and remember at any point, whenever I need them. This will have a huge impact on my current initiative as I am exposed to a lot of ideas now and the Lean canvas model. Overall a great session, and I’m not surprised that I learnt something new!
